Self-Portrait Bust Class
Create a ceramic self-portrait bust using large coil construction techniques. Your portrait can be a realistic representation of yourself, an animal alter ego, or a creative combination of both.
Throughout the class, we’ll explore symbolism, narrative, pattern, texture, additive elements, imagery, and color to create a piece that tells your unique story. You’ll also learn about glazing techniques and aesthetic decision making to enhance the final surface of your work.
Finished sculptures will range from approximately 12–15 inches tall.
