Ready to get your hands in the clay? Join us for our third installment of the Beginning Hand-Building Series, where we’ll explore the art of sculpting beautiful, realistic ceramic fruit!
This series is designed to teach you the fundamentals of hand-building and establish a strong foundation for your future clay creations. Across three classes, we’ll spend two sessions focused on building and one session dedicated to glazing and surface design.
In this series, you’ll learn to:
Master the reduction process by carving and shaping a solid piece of clay.
Explore form, proportion, and realism to create a beautiful fruit sculpture.
Discover glaze possibilities and surface-design techniques to achieve a realistic finish.
What to Expect:
Create an approximately 8–12-inch ceramic fruit sculpture, as well as a maquette.
All materials are included, from clay to a bright assortment of glazes.
Enjoy once weekly open studio access throughout the three week series to continue working on your piece.
Whether you’re new to clay or looking to strengthen your hand-building skills, this series is a wonderful opportunity to learn new techniques, get creative, and make something uniquely yours!
This class is BEGINNER FRIENDLY and for the ADVANCED CERAMICIST

We are unable to offer refunds, transfers, or exchanges within 7 days of the start date for any reason.
Any refunds issued are subject to a 10% processing fee.
If I need to miss a class due to illness, I will schedule a make-up session.
If you need to miss a class, you are welcome to attend open studio hours for additional practice. Open studio is uninstructed time where you can continue working on what you’ve learned.
Please try not to miss the first class. It covers essential information, studio policies, and demonstrations that are foundational for your success.
