This series is geared towards teaching you the fundamentals of Hand-building and establishing a solid foundation for you to build upon. We will spend 3 classes on each process, 2 classes for building and 1 for glazing.
In the second of the Hand-building classes, we will focus on the coiling process to make an evenly delineated vessel. Coil construction is the foundation for clay construction. You will learn how to make a vase with a narrative, which will be fun and functional! You will also learn about glaze possibilities and overall surface design. Expect to make an 8”-12” form. All materials will be provided, including clay and a bright assortment of glazes. You will be able to access the open studio once a week for the duration of our 3 week period.
Class meets on Sundays from 10-1 on the following dates: 8/10, 8/17 and 8/24

Any refunds issued are subject to a 10% processing fee.
If I have to miss a class due to illness, I will schedule a make-up class.
If you need to miss a class you can come to the open studio hours for practice. Open studio is uninstructed time where you can practice what you’ve learned.
Please try not to miss the first class. I review a lot of information, studio policies, and demonstrations that are pertinent to your success.
