Light Me Up!! (Starts Sunday January 4th from 10am-12:45pm)
Class Description: Light-Inspired Ceramics
This class will be a survey of ceramic pieces designed to display or interact with light. Your work could take the form of a lamp, candelabra, matchstick striker, night light, or anything else your imagination leads you to. You may choose to focus on a single piece for the duration of the class or explore multiple smaller projects.
The building process will vary depending on the form you choose. I will offer demonstrations tailored to the specific pieces students want to make. We will focus on hand-building, but if you have prior wheel throwing experience, that would work too! Throughout the course, we’ll emphasize thoughtful design, sound construction, functionality, and overall aesthetic development—including surface and finishing techniques.
This class is beginner-friendly and open to all levels.
All materials included for your piece or small pieces, including a large assortment of glazes.
Schedule We will meet four times on Sundays from 10:00 AM–12:45 PM on the following dates: 1/4, 1/11, 1/18, and 1/25
• CANCELLATION POLICY •
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 7 days before your class or workshop begins.
We are unable to offer refunds, transfers, or exchanges within 7 days of the start date for any reason.
Any refunds issued are subject to a 10% processing fee.
If I need to miss a class due to illness, I will schedule a make-up session.
If you need to miss a class, you are welcome to attend open studio hours for additional practice. Open studio is uninstructed time where you can continue working on what you’ve learned.
Please try not to miss the first class. It covers essential information, studio policies, and demonstrations that are foundational for your success.
