Breaking Through Creative Blocks Friday 27th from 4:30-7:30pm
Breaking Through Creative Blocks
A Therapeutic + Hands-On Ceramics Workshop with Sarah Barrett, LPC, LMHC and Molly Schulps ceramic artist and educator
Friday, February 27 4:30–7:30 PM
Workshop Overview
Creative blocks don’t just show up in the studio—they often mirror patterns in our lives, emotions, and nervous systems. This immersive evening workshop blends therapeutic insight with hands-on ceramic making to help you move through stuck places with curiosity, compassion, and clay.
Guided by Sarah Barrett, LPC, LMHC and ceramic artist and educator, Molly Schulps, participants will explore the roots of creative and life blocks through discussion, reflection, and embodied making. We will focus on three key components of coping with creative or emotional blocks that Sarah will discuss and engage in exercises that explore the topics in a physical way.
You’ll leave with both practical tools and a tangible ceramic object created during the workshop—something made while moving through resistance rather than around it.
No prior ceramics experience is necessary. This class is designed to be accessible, supportive, and gently transformative.
Who This Workshop Is For
Artists, makers, and creatives feeling blocked or burnt out
Anyone navigating life transitions, uncertainty, or self-doubt
Beginners curious about ceramics in a low-pressure environment
People interested in therapy-informed creative practices
What You’ll Leave With
A deeper understanding of your creative blocks
Tools you can return to when feeling stuck
One handmade ceramic piece (fired and glazed after the workshop)
A renewed sense of permission to create imperfectly
