A Hand-Building Ceramic Finials Class
Do you love old houses?
Are your porch or stair posts suffering from constant rain and dry rot?
What if you could replace them with something beautiful — something you made?
In this unique 4-week class, you’ll design and create two sculptural ceramic finials for your stair or porch posts. Your pieces can be matching or thematically connected — botanical, architectural, symbolic, whimsical, or minimal.
You’ll learn:
Core hand-building techniques
Structural construction for outdoor forms
Surface development and decorative detailing
How to build durable ceramic elements suitable for exterior use
No experience necessary. All materials provided (Enough clay for two 7”-8” pieces and studio glazes)
Class Dates (Sundays 9:30-12)
April 12, April 19, April 26, May 3
Create something lasting. Give your house a crown. 🌧️🏡
